I've been in software engineering for about ten years, the last four as a senior and then tech lead on the logistics platform at a large marketplace.
In that role I led a team of six engineers and drove the migration from a monolith to event-driven services. It took us about a year, and as a result we went from weekly releases to several deploys a day, and incidents during peak season dropped by roughly half.
Besides the technical side, I introduced a design review process that's now used across three teams, and I mentored two engineers who were promoted to senior.
Next, I'd like to take on a staff-level role with more cross-team scope. I'm especially interested in your platform team because the problems you described in the job post are very close to what I've been solving.
