Вопрос
Explain how a request flows through a typical web system: load balancer, nginx, application, cache, database and a queue for background jobs.

Разбор
A request first hits the load balancer, which spreads traffic across several servers. On each server, nginx terminates TLS and passes the request to the application.
The application checks the cache first. If the data is there, it returns it right away. If not, it reads from the database and puts the result in the cache for next time.
Anything slow, like sending emails or generating reports, goes into a queue, and background workers process it, so the user doesn't wait. The queue also protects the database when throughput spikes.
Сложные места:
- terminates TLS: расшифровывает TLS-соединение.
- throughput spikes: всплески нагрузки.
- hits: попадает на.
